Mentoring Initiative

Faculty and students should look forward to an email in the spring requesting their participation in the mentoring initiative at the conference again this year. The NASSM Student Board hopes to offer an even better mentoring program in Seattle for faculty and students, who both reported an overall positive experience last year in London. A new goal for this year's mentoring initiative is not just to have an increase in the number of participants, but also in the diversity of research and career interests among the faculty and students. The focus of the mentoring initiative is to create long-term relationships between faculty and students who share similar research interests and allow for conversations that would not normally take place elsewhere. Furthermore, faculty will share their knowledge with promising scholars as a means of furthering the quality of work produced in the field and preparing the new generation of researchers and practitioners in sport management. The initiative will take place at the President's Luncheon on Friday, May 25.

Student Social

Will take place at the Pike Brewery on Friday, May 25th at 7:30 PM. Additional details will follow.
