North American Society for Sport Management

The new academic year may be just beginning, but it’s not too early to start planning for the 2010 Conference of the North American Society for Sport Management, which will be held June 1-5 in Tampa. The conference Web site (http://www.nassm.com/NASSM2010/) has launched, and information will be added to the site as it becomes available.

The conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, and it promises to be a fantastic event. The Grand Hyatt is a 35-acre resort-like hotel located alongside a wildlife preserve on the upper shores of Tampa Bay. It is just minutes from the beaches.

The local host for the 2010 conference is the University of Tampa, and while planning for the event is still in progress, it is safe to say NASSM delegates will not be lacking for things to do. Located on Florida's West Coast, Tampa features white sand beaches, water sports, major professional sports, a rich fine arts tradition, and other attractions such as Busch Gardens Africa and the Florida Aquarium.
